This rare plot of land on Stanley Grove represents a fantastic opportunity to build a pair of houses designed by multiple award-winning architectural practice, Liddicoat and Goldhill. The scheme has been formulated with a two-phase build in mind, comprising first Orpheus House, an ingeniously configured three-bedroom riad-inspired house, which will sit in its own plot behind the Victorian terrace of Stanley Grove; the design introduces floor-to-ceiling glazing alongside exposed brick, polished concrete and vast sections of skylight. The second phase seeks to complete the Victorian terrace with a contemporary, three-bedroom semi-detached house. Full details of the planning documents can be found here.

The Architect

Founded in 2010 by husband and wife David Liddicoat and Sophie Goldhill, Liddicoat and Goldhill has developed a specialism for new build homes & hotels. Many projects include sensitive restorations and additions to historic structures. Current projects include local, national and international builds. The studio employs a collaborative ‘agile’ design management system to foster creative thinking.

Liddicoat & Goldhill was awarded a RIBA award and Manser Medal nomination for the hand-crafted Shadow House. A Manser Medal commendation, RIBA London Award and RIBA House of the Year shortlisting came for the self-initiated Makers House – followed by a prestigious Stephen Lawrence Award shortlisting and a third RIBA award for the kinetic Ancient Party Barn.
